LIS 435 - Music Librarianship Scope, types, and functions of music libraries; their physical and intellectual organization and administration. Included are principles and techniques of selection, acquisition, classification, cataloging, binding, storage, and dissemination of music materials; principles, techniques, and materials of music reference and research; music publishing and recording, including listening facilities; and philosophy and functions of the music librarian. Music-reading ability and substantial music literature background required. Prerequisite: LIS 415.
