Introduces basic backpacking skills and knowledge in order to enhance personal enjoyment of the outdoors, conservation of wild areas, and sound safety practices on outdoor trips. Students learn through direct experience, discussion, demonstration, and reflection. Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
