Technical (studio) exploration and historical appreciation of a variety of drawing and painting media generally uncommon in contemporary art: silver and leadpoint, chiaroscuro, quill and reed pens with bistre and iron-gall inks, natural and fabricated chalks, egg tempera, encaustic, oil glazing and fresco (buon fresco), and handmade paper.
