Designed for prospective community college and university writing instructors. It focuses on theory and research in rhetoric, composition, and cognitive development and on practical, pedagogical classroom strategies. Students discuss a variety of theories and research studies and then apply writing theory to classroom strategies, design lessons, assignments, and syllabi, and practice analyzing and responding to student writing.
