Designed for lower division students who have little or no experience writing poetry. Students will write approximately twelve poems in a variety of forms and receive instruction and practice in the workshop method. In addition, they study the basic elements of poetic craft: rhythm, enjambment, basic figures of speech, etc., and how to use them effectively in their own poetry. Graded: Graded Student. Units: 3.0
