Workshop for students who have had little or no experience writing fiction or poetry and who are trying to decide if they are interested in becoming writers. Over the course of the semester, students write and polish several poems and short stories which they present for critique and commentary. In addition, they study the basic elements of fiction and poetry and learn how to use these effectively in their own work. Graded: Graded Student. Units: 3.0
