Methods for Teaching Second Language Learners, Multiple Subject (ELD and SDAIE), Asian Languages. Focus on teaching candidates the methods, techniques and strategies needed to make content accessible for second language learners, specifically those with Asian language backgrounds. Candidates will learn to use the ELD standards to create ELD lessons and SDAIE lessons within a multicultural framework. Candidates will also learn how to interpret and implement formative and summative assessments. Lecture, demonstration, modeling, group work, discussions, field experience. Prerequisite: EDBM 170. Graded: Graded Student. Units: 3.0
