Applied econometric analysis with emphasis on the use of econometric techniques in actual economic research settings, and expressing economic theory in the form of econometric models, data collection, estimation, and interpretation of results. Students work individually or as a team on a preselected research topic by instructor. Students usually work on a current research topic, chosen from various fields of economics.
