Comparative Analysis of the Criminal Justice System. Examination of alternative systems for criminal justice provides a basis for improved understanding of organizational and functional components within given sociopolitical environments. Through comparison of formal and operational levels, decision-making processes are made explicit with reference to historical, legal, social, and economic parameters in the administration of justice. Prerequisite: Graduate status, CRJ 200, CRJ 255, and CRJ 260, which may be taken concurrently; or instructor permission; GWAR certification before Fall 09, WPJ score of 70+, or at least a C- in ENGL 109 M/W.
