Description:
The analytical chemistry laboratory for chemistry and biochemistry majors. This course will provide students with hands-on experience using classical quantitative analysis techniques. These will include volumetric analysis, gravimetric analysis, potentiometry, molecular and atomic spectrophotometry, and chromatography. Topics covered in experiments will statistics, error, calibration methods, complex acid-base reactions, multi-step equilibria, complexation reactions, electrochemistry, spectrophotometry, and modern chemical separation techniques.
