Its scope and unique characteristics which provide the non-specialist with the background information needed to clearly and properly understand the major features of the life-related problems of today, and then put them into proper and meaningful perspective. This course serves as an experience for students with a secondary interest in science, fulfills Objective 3 of the University Core Curriculum, but cannot be used for credit toward a major in Biology.
