Description:
A course that examines the physical development of a district of Warsaw or a small town nearby. This course analyzes the physical, social and economic conditions of the study area, develops a master plan addressing salient issues arising from the analysis, and proposes an urban design expression for those issues. The course attempts to be responsive to Poland's transition to a free market economy by incorporating workable solutions to Warsaw's rapidly changing physical environment.
