Prerequisites: Psychology graduate status Nature and dynamics of interpersonal group relations as they occur within a multicultural context. Students will study relations among diverse ethnic, racial, and cultural groups in the United States and globally. The course looks at cross-cultural relations from an interdisciplinary perspective, considering psychological, sociological, and historical factors; considers several relevant issues in counseling from a multicultural perspective, and studies specific cultural groups in the context of therapy issues. This course fulfills a portion of the Mental Health Counselors license requirement.
