Focus is “development” and its conceptual counterpart “underdevelopment.” Some of the questions we seek to explore are: What is development? How should it be measured? Will all countries eventually follow the development path of the advanced industrial countries? Is income inequality getting better or worse between rich and poor on a global scale? What factors explain underdeveloped in different regions of the globe? What are some of the specific development strategies that countries have followed and with what results?
