An introduction to the various subfields of political science from a practitioner’s point of view.& Students will learn how to study politics “scientifically” using theories, hypotheses and concepts to explore the relationships among variables.& Students will also learn how to define and critique concepts commonly used in professional journals.& The course concludes with an overview of descriptive satistics to prepare students for further quantitative study in PSC 349.
