Prerequisites: CVC 102 or equivalent. Continuation of Cape Verdean Creole fro students who have had a solid introduction to the Cape Verdean language.& In addition to focusing on grammatical concepts and conversation, new vocabulary will be introduced.& Greater emphasis will be given to writing.& Readings include short stories, newspaper and magazine articles, and poetry.& There will also be a more intense look at topics of relevance to Cape Verdean Creole-speaking communities, including aspects of social and cultural interest. Course constitutes an elective for Portuguese undergraduate minors and majors.& It also fulfills CAS& Humanities distribution requirements and satisfies two General Education requirements (Cultural and Artistic Literacy and Global Awareness.
