An intensive course that teaches the basic structures and vocabulary of Cape Verdean Creole language in one semester. Designed for beginners with little or no knowledge of Cape Verdean Creole, students learn in a communicative environment using all four of the language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course offers regular presentation of music and slides/websites depicting culture and everyday life in Cape Verdean Creole-speaking communities. Students complete one year of language acquisition. The course is equivalent to the sequence CVC 101-CVC102.
