Introduction to the foundations of the Cape Verdean Creole language for students with little or no knowledge of Cape Verdean Creole.& Students develop listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing skills.& The course offers regular presentation of music and slides / websites depicting everyday life in Cape Verdean Creole-speaking communities. Course constitutes an elective for Portuguese undergraduate minors and majors.& It also fulfills CAS& Humanities distribution requirements and satisfies two General Education requirements (Cultural and Artistic Literacy and Global Awareness).
