3 hours lecture Prerequisites: MTH 114 (or MTH 112) and PHY 111 (or PHY 113) A comprehensive overview of the characteristics of transportation systems. Concepts in major areas such as geometric design, human factors, traffic engineering simulation, and transportation planning and evaluation, including travel behavior and socioeconomic effects, will be introduced. Principles of highway construction and design will be included.
