Prerequisites: One semester physical chemistry; two semesters of college physics, three semesters of calculus, or permission of instructor. Pre- or Corequisite: CHM 316, or equivalent Selected topics in applied mathematics and computer science with applications to physical chemistry, organic chemistry, and bioinformatics. Includes introduction to differential equations, linear algebra, computer programming, curve and surface fitting, numerical integration, trajectory calculations, molecular modeling, quantum chemistry, computational molecular biology, and biological data analysis.
