Prerequisites: AED 200, AED 201, AED 305, AED 410 Corequisites: AED 410 Introduction to the visual arts as a therapeutic instrument, examined through practical experiences, discussions, and readings. The course explores art’s potential in diagnosis, physical therapies, and affective and cognitive therapies; explores the variety of special needs students; and discusses current issues and literature. A key goal is to promote understanding in dealing with special needs students in grades N-9 and 5-12.
