Discussion will include the physical and biological factors that affect and shape tropical organisms and ecosystems: biodiversity, biogeography, climate, genetics, nutrient cycling, population viability, reproductive systems and topography. Tropical organisms and ecosystems world-wide will be compared with an emphasis on Hawaii.
