Prerequisite: Enrollment in Doctoral Program or consent of instructor. A consideration of the low-level processes and mechanisms of seeing, including: (1) the sampling and filtering of the image in the eye, (2) the neural representation of the image, and (3) the interpretation of this representation. Emphasis is on form, color and motion abilities.
