This course provides an overview of database security concepts and techniques, application security models, data mining, database and data auditing, XML access control, trust management and privacy protection. New directions in database security will also be discussed. Prerequisites: CPSC 3220 and CPSC 3600 with minimum grades of C or department head approval. Supplementary course fee assessed.
