Description:

The biology of mammals, with an emphasis on diversity, distribution, systematics, structural evolution and paleontology, and functional morphology. Laboratory includes identification of regional diversity, as well as dissections and field trips. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 1120 with a minimum grade of C and at least one 3000-4000 level course from Biology or Environmental Science with a minimum grade of C; junior standing or department head approval. Corequisite: BIOL 4570L. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
