This course introduces students to the speech communication discipline. A variety of activities and class assignments are designed to acquaint students with the intrapersonal, interpersonal, and public speaking levels of speech communication. Students may also enroll in the business emphasis section of this course, which emphasizes communicating during an employment interview, communicating in self-directed work teams, and developing multimedia presentations. If completed with a grade of ā€œCā€ or better, this course serves to demonstrate competence in oral communication. &
