PHPR 515 - Pharmacy and the Arts

Institution:
University of Kansas
Subject:
AAAS: African & African-American Studies
Description:
The pharmacy school curriculum overflows with science courses leaving students little time for the humanities. Ironically, however, patient-focused care requires pharmacists to have greater skill in observation, communication, and understanding of the psychosocial issues surrounding disease and treatment. The goal of this course is to broaden students' perspective and appreciate of health care by viewing it through the arts. LEC
