Prerequisite: Senior religion major. In the first half of this seminar, students study a particular theme or problem in the study of religion and apply selected theoretical and methodological models to the topic. In the second half, students engage in an independent research project related to their choice of a course “cluster” or concentration while continuing to meet for discussions of related methodological issues, work in progress, and general reflections on the study of religion.
