Prerequisite: Three credits in 200-level English. An examination of British literature written between 1660 and 1740. Thematic or generic focus varies from year to year. In a given term, the course focuses on either one or two major genres (e.g., comedic stage plays, prose narratives, periodicals, satiric poetry) or a topic addressed in a variety of genres.
