Introduction to how culture shapes psychological experience, including social behavior, cognition, motivation, and the experience of the self. Covers psychological theory and research on human cultural variation and focuses on different national populations (especially North Americans and East Asians), with some attention to the psychological experience of multicultural populations within the United States. PREREQ: Grades of C- or better in PSYC207, and PSYC209 or substitutes (MATH202, MATH205, STAT200, SOCI301). RESTRICTIONS: Open to majors and minors only.
