This course conducts a practical analysis of modern administration theory and supervisory, management principles and their application to the unique operating problems of criminal justice organizaitons. Topics include operations and funcitons of organizations; recruiting, training, and retention of personnel; funding and budgeting; communications; span of control and discretion; and other related topics. Legal issues and liabilites associated with organizational policies and procedures will also be explored.
