This course presents the general flow of information in a medical office and the role that computers play. Medisoft, patient billing and accounting software, will be utilized to provide students with hands-on experience in inputting patient information, entering patient transactions, creating insurance claims, producing patient statements, entering payments and adjustments, producing reports, and scheduling. Prior knowledge of keyboarding is essential.
