This course will examine the law of the European Union as it impacts upon the protection of intellectual assets (patent, copyright and trademark law in Europe) and selected topics on EU or European national regulation of advanced technology. Such topics might include the impact of EU competition law on the development or marketing of new products or how European laws govern the development or importation genetically modified foods.
