Description: Acceptance into the graduate study of the Clinical laboratory science track. A study of the fundamental techniques used in isolation, identification and recovery of medically important mycobacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses. Emphasis is also placed on the host/microbial interaction and response. The theory and laboratory practice in clinical serology (of the above organisms) used in diagnosis of infectious disease is also included.
