Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in THEA 220 and ART 188. This course will explore the fabrics, tools and techniques used in costume and soft goods construction for theatrical application. Hand sewing and machine sewing techniques, basic garment and project constructions, and theatrical decoration are emphasized. The role of the design assistant and communication process with the costume shop manager will be discussed. [Semesters Offered: Winter]
