Prerequisite: None. This course will introduce the student to the complex world of proceedings in the child protection system in Michigan. The course will address procedures required in Child Protective Proceedings, from reporting and investigating suspected child abuse and neglect, to the required Court hearings in the Family Division of the Circuit Court, to appeals to the Court of Appeals.
