Prerequisite: None. This course explores identity formation in the United States and the ways in which the process of "Americanization" occurs. The course is designed to familiarize American and non-American students with the traditions, folkways, and customs of American Indians, European Americans, African Americans, Latino/Latina Americans, and Asian/Pacific Americans. This course is a continual questioning of how cultural groupings are conceived, expressed, and interpreted.
