Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in PARA 102, PARA 103, PARA 110, PARA 114, PARA 118, and PARA 122. This course builds on the information learned in PARA 110 as a basis for more advances arrhythmia interpretation. Management of cardiac arrest including medications, cardioversion, transcutaneaous pacing, and defibrillation will be the major emphasis. Pacemakers, 12-lead ECG interpretation, and other advanced procedures and arrhythmias will be presented. Application of theory, judgment and decision making strategies are evaluated.
