Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in BIOL 110, HEED 107, HEED 131 and HEED 132 or permission of appropriate instructional Dean; minimum of NREMT-B certification and/or State of MI EMT-B licensure required. This course provides the paramedic student with information about cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and electrophysiology. Emphasis is placed on rhythm interpretation, recognition of life- threatening arrhythmia, electrical intervention, and other pre-hospital patient management strategies. [Semesters Offered: Fall]
