Description:

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MUSI 116. Open to students and community members who wish to study and perform a wide variety of wind band literature. The Symphonic Band gives two performances and performs at the college's Commencement Ceremony each Spring. Audition or permission of instructor required. Sight-reading abilities are required, and a minimum of four years of previous experience in a wind band (concert band) is expected. Concurrent enrollment in Applied Music, Music Theory and Aural Skills is recommended. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Winter]
