Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in MUSI 242A required. This course is a requirement for the student on a vocal music track and concurrently enrolled in Applied Music. The focus of this class is to acquaint the singer with the correct pronunciation of English, Latin, Italian, German and French languages through the use of the International Phonetic Alphabet. This course also provides an overview of the historical development of vocal music from Late Medieval through the 20th Century. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Winter]
