Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in EDUC 115. This course explores diversity in culture, traditions, gender, the development of children, and identifying children with disabilities. Topics covered include special needs children, multicultural education, family support, and gender bias. Discussion will include strategies for early intervention, the importance of families in the education of the child, anti-bias curriculum, appropriate assessment and community services.
