Prerequisite: None. This course is a general overview for students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture, specifically animal science. An introductory understanding of animal nutrition, anatomy, physiology, behavior and genetics, along with animal health will be covered. Visual and non-visual indicators of animal health will be discussed along with the understanding of how to control disease. The impact of animal health on human health will also be reviewed.
