Unit I hones critical skills through close readings of How the Other Half Lives, an expose of late nineteenth-century New York. Unit II emphasizes the importance of context through analysis of the play, A Raisin in the Sun with companion texts. Unit III teaches the fundamentals of the research process through independent projects on Cambridge, Massachusetts.
