We'll begin by close reading the topographical themes and imagery of British poetry about World War I. Next, we'll view the iconic American film Oklahoma! through the lens of historical arguments about the frontier's role in forging the American character. Finally, you'll develop your own research topic pertaining to fiction or films about the American suburb.
