Topics include transmission lines and microwave circuits, Maxwell's equations, electromagnetic waves in free space, matter, and waveguides, ray optics, and antennae. Applications of electromagnetism in ultra-fast integrated circuits, wireless networking, and radio astronomy are also discussed to place the electromagnetic theory in practical contexts of the present-day science research and communication technology.
