Organized both sectorally and spatially, the course addresses key sectors of the emergingglobal economy, as well as the rationale of the”Entrepreneurial” state at the public-private interface. Posits institutional approaches and professional roles in the management of regional economies. Seeks in theory a template of regional change, and both the means and purpose of policy intervention. Finds in strategic planning an integration of developmental and environmental perspectives. Prereq: Urp 5520 or permission of instructor. Cross-listed with Geog 4400.
