Teaches future new and small business owners the practical aspects of managing their entrepreneurial venture, to develop a comprehensive business plan and to develop the skills necessary to improve the odds of success. The course will consider strategies to leverage limited resources for maximum effect. Also covers small organization and group behavior, performance, leadership and motivation in small business settings and focuses on the owner/manager as the principle success factor in the context of a small organization. Note: For business majors only. Can be applied to management emphasis and to Entrepreneurship Certificate. Prereq: MGMT 3000, MKTG 3000, and BLAW 3000 strongly recommended.
