Over the last decade businesses have started to understand how the design and operation of their supplier network can actually be a source of competitive advantage. Supply chain management is concerned with the activities around communication, managing inventory, warehousing, transportation and facility location. The course objectives are to understand a supply chain/network from the strategic, planning and operations perspectives and to develop skills that allow you to analyze the responsiveness and effectiveness of the network. Prereq: DSCI 2010.
