This course covers a historical and contemporary study of plays, theatrical figures and actors of Black-American, both past and present. A survey of dramatic literature of the genre, as well as a survey of producing organizations, both past and present will be covered. The changing role of the Black American in the theatre will be studied. This course is open to non-majors.
